Summer Course 2022

A number of significant environmental changes in shaping responses and actions related to internationalization programs such as curriculum internationalization in learning, mobility of students, lecturers, and staff, implementation of cross-border education programs, foreign language studies, research collaborations, and other internationalization programs as needed and for college reasons. The objective of the Faculty of Public Health UNDIP to carry out internationalization is in line with the Strategic Plan and Vision of UNDIP and in line with the internationalization policy in Indonesia as stated in the Long Term Strategy for Higher Education. Therefore, Faculty of Public Health UNDIP as a university that is part of the global community is expected to play an active role in realizing national education plans and ideals. To achieve these goals, Faculty of Public Health UNDIP will provide facilitation to strengthen international cooperation and networking through the Summer Course Program. This summer course program is offered to foreign students at health institutions abroad. The Summer Course Program is held to integrate lecture activities and field practice so that participants can gain scientific insight into the health sector and various good practices and cultures gained through this activity. Furthermore, through the Summer Course Program, it is hoped that Faculty of Public Health UNDIP will open opportunities for collaboration with universities abroad, both in terms of academics, student affairs, and research.

Summer Course Program implemented through several learning methods, such as synchronous and asynchronous methods using Zoom Application and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCS). This activity held from 13th – 23rd July 2022. In addition to presenting material on “Community Participation in Public Health during Covid-19 Pandemic Era”, this activity will also feature a virtual tourism tour for Semarang City and Central Java Province.

There was several topic discussed in this Summer Course Program, such as Introduction to Bahasa Indonesia, National Health System in Indonesia, Health Information System in Indonesia, Community Participation in Health Promotion in Indonesia, Community Participation in Covid-19 Surveillance in Indonesia, Community Participation in Maternal and Child Health in Indonesia, Community Participation in Domestic Waste Management in Indonesia, Challenge and Strategy of the Implementation of Covid-19 Vaccination Program in Indonesia, Data Reporting and Information System of Covid-19 in Indonesia, etc. There was also 2 live online class: Jamu Practice Class, Waste Recycling Creative Class and Live Report: Visit to Toddlers Integrated Healthcare Post.
