One of the field programs in the Summer Course collaboration with QUT was learning about primary health care at Tlogosari Kulon Public Health Center. The Head of Tlogosari Kulon PHC, dr. Nurhayati, M.Kes, explains the health care services provided in PHC. Tlogosari Kulon not only provides curative and rehabilitative health services but also preventive and promotive health services to the communities around the PHC. The students were interested in the integrated program provided by PHC because PHC provides health care services for the baby until the elderly people.
During the discussion session, the students also shared about the health care services in Australia compared with the health care service provided in PHC in Indonesia, especially in Tlogosari Kulon PHC. After the presentation and discussion session, the students were also able to go around the PHC to learn about the facilities provided in PHC as the primary health care.
